Project purpose
To support the Ukrainian authorities in setting up a national system for identification and registration of animals and system for tracking and tracing of food from animal origin according to EU best practices.
Project results
- The project beneficiaries have been enabled to perform stakeholder analyses on the themes of identification and registration of animals and tracking and tracing of food from animal origin.
- A needs and gaps analysis on the institutional and legal aspects has been performed on the themes of identification and registration of animals and tracking and tracing of food from animal origin.
- The project beneficiaries are able to adjust national legislation in the field of identification and registration of animals and the tracking and tracing of food from animal origin according to European best practices.
- The beneficiaries of the project have been enabled to set -up a logistical blueprint, comprising technical system requirements and a manual for farmers or farms, for a national system of identification and registration of animals.
- The beneficiaries of the project have been enabled to set -up a logistical blueprint, comprising technical system requirements and a manual for individual stakeholders in the process as slaughterhouses, warehouses, for a national system of tracking and tracing of food form animal origin.
