Twitter Counter is active in the social analytics space. As a part of its product development efforts, Twitter Counter intends to develop software to notify its customers about high-impact events on the customer’s social media feed, which constitute an important opportunity for action-taking. The development project is in line with the ambitions of the Topsector HTSM and ICT and the ambitions of the theme Data, data, data, action lines Innovative data management and Heterogeneous data (4a and b). Increasingly our lives become part of the data sphere. This results in large and heterogeneous user data and user generated content streams. The challenge is to develop intelligence to exploit the knowledge that is embedded in these heterogeneous forms of data to arrive at valuable user information.
