Project purpose
The project aims to contribute to the further development and specifically the implementation of recommendations in the report of the Special Policy Study on mercury management in China carried out by the China Council for International Cooperation on the Environment and Development (CCICED).
In addition, opportunities for trade and investment in the area of Mercury collection and recycling are promoted.
Project results
- Contribution to the development and implementation of a national strategy on Mercury for China.
- Presentation of Dutch companies with experience in collection, sorting and recycling of mercury containing wastes.
- Improved understanding of the opportunities for cooperation in the area of Mercury pollution and prevention control.
